Research capacity on the international level needs to be improved in order to influence international standards and regulations.
Stronger research community is needed to develop much needed evidence base and give confidence to relevant bodies responsible for improving and creating new standards and regulations. It would also equip government and industry with evidence required to influence changes in standards and regulations.
LRFC approach to capacity building will be delivered through supporting South Korean research capacity and through supporting int’l researcher mobility (global exchange programme).
